Pexenhurst provides several distinct functions within a single service interface. Each function addresses a specific part of the information lifecycle — from initial receipt and classification through to user-facing review and enquiry handling. The descriptions below reflect the intended purpose of each area; specific behaviour depends on the configuration applied to a given dataset or user account.
Information classification
The classification function examines items submitted to the service and assigns each one to a category based on its properties. Categories are defined by the operator configuration and describe the groups into which information is organised.
Classification is applied consistently across all items within a dataset. When a new item is received, it is evaluated against the category definitions and placed in the most appropriate group. If an item does not fit neatly into a single category, it may be assigned to multiple categories or flagged for manual review.
Users see the results of classification in the review interface. The categories displayed reflect the definitions in use, not the internal processing rules.
Structured data review
The review function gives users access to the classified information held within the system. Items are displayed within their assigned categories, with associated context visible alongside each entry.
The review display is structured to make it straightforward to examine individual items without losing sight of the broader classification. Users can navigate from a category level down to a specific item and return to the category view at any point.
The review interface does not alter the information shown. What appears in the display reflects the current state of the classified dataset.
Relationship mapping
The relationship mapping function identifies connections between items within the classified dataset. When two or more items share properties, reference the same subject, or fall within related categories, the system notes this and makes the connection visible in the review display.
Relationship mapping is applied automatically as part of the classification process. Users do not need to specify which items to compare; the function operates across the full dataset and presents any identified connections as part of the structured view.
Connections shown through relationship mapping reflect the data available within the system. They do not imply a verified or legally significant relationship between the underlying subjects.
Enquiry routing and handling
The enquiry routing function receives messages submitted through the enquiry form and directs them to the appropriate support channel. The routing is based on the request type selected by the user and the content of the message.
Submitted enquiries enter a review queue where they are assessed by the support team. The team may respond with a request for additional information before providing a substantive reply. Not all enquiries will result in an immediate action; the outcome depends on the nature of the request and the information available.
The enquiry function is not a mechanism for automated responses. All substantive replies involve human review.
